For younger beginners the emphasis is on having fun and being imaginative whilst building solid technical foundations and an understanding of basic musical concepts. Pupils study short, carefully graded but imaginative pieces often played as duets with the teacher. They even get to design their own CD cover!
For older children the course is carefully structured to ensure solid technical and musical foundations and paced according to aptitude and ability. Pieces are carefully chosen to reflect a balance between traditional classical music and the pupils own musical tastes such as pop, jazz or film music. Again, we use computer technology to arrange and record selected pieces and burn them onto CD. Over time these build into an excellent record of achievement.
